St. Patrick’s Day in Orlando at Midpointe Hotel, a Rosen property

Although not technically a federal holiday in the United States, St. Patrick’s Day is still observed and recognized stateside. The National Retail Federation estimates that consumers in the US spend almost 6 billion dollars celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. That’s a lot of green flying around, and Orlando is certainly no exception to this spending. The city usually hosts a weekend full of parties and celebrations each year on the holiday. We’ve picked out some of our favorites for you to check out this year. With a little bit of planning on which party to join, you’ll spend less green and spend more time thinking about your green outfit and having lots of fun.

Raglan Road

1640 E. Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Raglan Road is an authentic Irish pub located at Disney Springs, known for its energetic atmosphere and live music. If you can trust anyone other than an actual Irish person to accurately recreate the feel of an Irish pub here in the states, it’s probably going to be Disney. Last year, Raglan Road had a weekend-long festival celebrating Irish culture and centered on this holiday. You can expect a similar event this year, although there hasn’t been a formal announcement yet.

Paddy Wagon

7940 Via Dellagio Way #118, Orlando, FL 32819

Last year, Paddy Wagon hosted an afternoon “St. Patrick’s Day Day-Party,” offering an alternative to the late-night parties that most places provided. Paddy Wagon is another genuine Irish pub here in Orlando, so you can trust that they’ll put on a proper St. Patrick’s Day celebration, no matter what time of day you’re partying. Ambitious party-goers could even start their day celebrating here, and party on into the night at another bar!

Harp & Celt

25 S Magnolia Ave #1, Orlando, FL 32801

This two-story downtown space offers up a legitimate Irish pub experience right in the heart of Orlando proper. On most non-holidays, Harp & Celt serves as an Irish pub with a fun atmosphere and great sports-watching. On St. Patrick’s Day, they turn it up to 11. Last year’s celebration started around 11:00 AM and featured live music, a beer garden, traditional corned beef and cabbage, and plenty more in an authentic, all-day St. Patrick’s Day event.

Wall Street Plaza

25 Wall St, Orlando, FL 32801

It wouldn’t be a holiday in Orlando without a Wall Street Plaza block party. The bars on this downtown street come together for nearly every major event in American culture to provide one of the best public partying atmospheres in the entire city. It might not be the most traditional Irish celebration, but you can expect plenty of people, a great experience, and more green beer than you know what to do with.
