It’s time again for one of Disney’s most popular races – the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Like all runDisney events, the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is more than a race, it’s a fun-filled weekend. You’ll dress up in your favorite Disney-inspired running outfit as you run the course that takes you throughout Disney property, including through the theme parks. After crossing the finish line, you’ll receive a beautiful medal and an invitation to the exclusive after-party at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Don’t worry if you aren’t ready to run a 13.1 mile race. The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend includes several other races as well, so read on to learn more.
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Events
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend takes place October 31 – November 2. The weekend kicks off with the runDisney expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort. This is where you will pick up your race bib, shirt, and gEAR bags, which are included in the registration costs. You can also shop for official runDisney merchandise, including fitness apparel, tech gadgets, shoes, and any last minute items you might need before the races begin.
There are three main races during the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend:
- November 1: Disney Fall Feast 5k
- November 2: Disney Wine & Dine 10k
- November 3: 10th Anniversary Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon
If you want to test your physical endurance, you can try the Disney Two Course Challenge which includes the 10k race on Saturday as well as the half marathon on Sunday. After you cross both finish lines you’ll receive the 10k and half marathon Finisher Medals as well as the Challenge Medal.
Each race includes a participant shirt, personalized race bib, finisher medal, finisher certificate, and virtual goody bag, and there are characters along the way to cheer you on.

runDisney Kids Dashes
Anyone ages 5 and up can participate in the Disney Fall Feast 5k, but there are also races for kids on Saturday, November 2. These races are divided by age group and include a 100 and 200 meter dash, a one mile run, and a Diaper Dash for those under 12 months. All race participants will receive a personalized race bib, t-shirt, and a finisher medallion. Kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite character-inspired race outfits within Disney’s costume guidelines.
Spectator ChEAR Squad
If you have friends or family members joining you who will not be racing, they can still participate in the fun events of the weekend as a spectator. As part of the ChEAR Squad, they’ll receive a squad bag, blanket, reserved grandstand seating at the finish line, complimentary beverages, and cowbell with which to cheer you on.
Post-Race Party for Half Marathon Finishers
After the race it’s time to celebrate your accomplishments at the post-race party. If you ran the half marathon, you’ll enjoy free entry to an exclusive after-hours party at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival along with some of your favorite Disney characters. Feast on delicious global cuisine, visit select attractions, and show off your shiny new medals. Your friends and family are also invited to participate in the party and can purchase individual entry tickets.
An Orlando Hotel Near the Wine & Dine Half Marathon
Since each race starts dark and early in the morning, you’ll want to stay at a hotel that is close to the parks. Rest well the night before the race in the comfortable beds at Midpointe Hotel, then enjoy a short drive to Disney the next morning.
