Game Day on the Road

Vacations are an opportune time to unplug and take a break from the daily life. For the passionate sports fans, it can be difficult to go a few days without keeping up with our teams! Whether you’re looking for some weekend Premier League action, catching some College Gameday on Saturdays, or keeping up with your Fantasy Football squads on Sundays, International Drive has some of the best places to follow your favorite teams while you’re enjoying your time in Orlando.

The Scene Café & Lounge / Sam & Bubbe’s

Conveniently located right inside the Clarion Inn & Suites, there is no easier place than The Scene Café & Lounge for guests to grab a drink and tune in to watch their favorite team. The café is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and the lounge is open from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For lunch, guests can head next door to the Rosen Centre to visit Sam & Bubbe’s, the bar and lounge in the lobby of the hotel. Order yourself a specialty drink and a traditional Jewish nosh, then kick back and relax while you enjoy some great food and watch your favorite club.

Buffalo Wild Wings

This restaurant chain, affectionately referred to as “B-Dubs” by its fans, is most commonly known for the large range of sauces offered on its so-called “wild wings.” Spanning the spectrum from sweet to spicy and everything in between, you’re bound to find a sauce you like here. Did I mention the plethora of large-screen TVs they have available for all of your sports-viewing needs?! Also helpful is the fact that they offer three locations on International Drive, so that you can find your games no matter where you are staying.

Dave & Buster’s

Let your inner kid run free at this adult-friendly arcade. This chain of arcade restaurants sports a whole host of games fun for both kids and adults. Most importantly, they have large-screen TVs aplenty for keeping up with any and every match you can imagine. Dave & Buster’s is a great place to grab a drink, have some fun, and still catch all the highlights from your favorite team’s games.

Miller’s Ale House

This local favorite has grown from its roots in Jupiter, Florida, and expanded all the way across the country! Miller’s Ale House (often just “Ale House” to the locals) is a great place to get an enjoyable sports bar experience with mouth-watering food and drinks, all without breaking the bank. They offer almost-daily specials and over 75 different beer options, plus all the liquor and cocktail choices you’d expect from your favorite bar.

Yard House

Founded in California but currently owned by Darden Restaurants (headquartered right here in Orlando, Florida), Yard House has 66 locations around the United States. Their bar boasts over 100 beers on tap, and they offer tasting options to help you find a few you’ll like. Happy hour gives you $2 off all of your beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, as well as half-priced appetizers from their diverse menu featuring everything from wings and nachos to egg rolls and sashimi.
