Orlando may be known primarily for its theme parks but did you know we have a bustling arts community as well? Today we’re taking a look at some of the best art exhibits and festivals in the area.
If you’re up for the drive, the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg is home to the largest collection of Dalí’s works outside of Europe. This exquisite 20,000 sq. ft. gallery houses more than 2,000 of Dalí’s oil and watercolor paintings, sketches, sculptures, and other unique pieces.
A little closer to home, you can find the City Arts Factory in Downtown Orlando. This is our city’s largest collective gallery with a fusion of local and international pieces that are rotated regularly. Not only do they host a variety of exhibitions throughout the year, but they also host special events like the annual Día De Los Muertos & Monster Factory event where they welcome artists from all over the country to showcase their unique talents during the Day of the Dead and Halloween street party.
In autumn, Winter Park hosts its own annual art festival. This art show takes place on the sidewalks of Central Park and promises a wonderful afternoon of visual art and live entertainment for the whole family. Admission is always free and parking is plentiful.
Whether it’s an art museum or local artists showcasing their latest pieces, Orlando always has something going on in the arts community. Our property is only about 25 minutes from downtown, home to most of Orlando’s art district. Stay central to all your destinations and book your stay at Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando today.
